05-22-2011 just got back to Santa Barbara harbor from a windy day at the islands. We started out in search of halibut and sea bass. The conditions were tough with strong winds from the northwest. We put in a solid effort till around noon and managed 11 nice halibut. We finished up with some rock fish and called it a day. We\'ll be back out Wednesday night fishing Thursday. Note/ We have a 2 day trip on Saturday and Sunday that needs some people. The trip will be limited to 20 people. The cost is $400 includes food. Contact Alan at (562) 818-6563.
Good fishing from the Apollo crew, J.J. Travis, Joe, Jessica and Nick.

05-20-2011 Good afternoon, today we fished the north side of santa rosa. We made a little squid and tried for seabass in the morning for no joy. We had easy limits of quality rockfish then fished halibut for a while at the end of the day. We managed 7 very nice halibut to 40 lbs. Might have to try that again tomorrow. Good day from the Apollo crew, JJ, Travis, Joe, Jessica and Nick.

05-07-2011 today we started out looking on the south side of Santa Rosa Island for white sea bass. We had made enough squid yesterday to fish today. The usual sea bass haunts turned up nothing so we fell back on rock fishing deep water for nice quality limits of rock fish for the day with a hand full of nice lings. We will be back out Wednesday night to look again.
Happy Mothers day from the Apollo crew, J.J. Travis, Joe, Jessica and Nick.

04-10-2011 We just got back from our over night trip out to Santa Rosa island. We played the weather game all day with scratchy fishing but we were able to get it done by the end of the day with limits of rockfish and three lingcod. Great news from the other side of the island where the first channel island white sea bass of the year were caught. Between a few boats six were caught today. We will be fishing that area tomorrow. Check back tomorrow evening for a sea bass update!!
